2. Apple HealthKit Data

Stepya integrates with Apple HealthKit to read your step count data. This is necessary to provide the core functionality of tracking your daily progress and triggering smart reminders.

• Read Access: We request permission to read your step count from HealthKit.
• Local Processing Only: All calculations, goal tracking, and reminder scheduling are performed on your local iOS device.
• No External Transmission: Your HealthKit data is never sent to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for marketing purposes.

3. Local Storage

To provide a seamless experience, Stepya stores certain user preferences directly on your device using local storage mechanisms (like UserDefaults). This includes:

• Your configured daily step goals.
• Your scheduled custom reminders.

This data remains on your device and is not synchronized to external servers by us. If you delete the app, this local data is typically removed.

4. Third-Party Analytics and Tracking

We believe your health data is your own. Therefore, Stepya does not include third-party tracking SDKs, advertising frameworks, or external analytics tools that monitor your in-app behavior or collect personal information.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Given our local-only processing model, we do not collect personal information from any user, regardless of age.
